The objective of the programme is to develop teaching and research talent to create academic expertise suiting to contemporary needs of the society.There is a need to transform teaching as a profession more than a mere career to bring in the right skills, capability and attitude in the field of academics in the larger interest of sustainable education. The programme aims to create a faculty of quality and competence in the subject areas of Commerce & Management.The two-year M. Com program involves four equal semesters and provides innovative features like “papers by research”, industry internship and teaching practice in B.Com classes under the supervision of faculty mentors.The third & fourth semesters majorly deals with electives in ‘Accounting & Taxation’ and ‘Finance & Banking’.

Course Content

Masters of Commerce has certain set objectives and value-added programs

A week-long Foundation program to build the strong base in technical subjects such as Finance, Business Statistics, Computer Fundamentals and Basics of Management.Case-Based Teaching Pedagogy. Regular Guest lectures by renowned speakers from across the globe.International linkages for the faculty/student exchange programs.Regular Personality Development Programs and Workshops by lead corporate trainers.
The objective of this course is to provide professional education and training in various aspects of commerce to students and provide them with opportunities to develop conceptual and analytical skills, thus fostering positive attitudes that are essential for their development into competent and effective professionals. The course enables a student to excel not only in academics but also in value added programmes and extension activities by embedding these pillars in the system.Admission is based on the counseling and personal interviews conducted by the college.

The course offers specialization in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Human Resource, Business Administration, Capital and Commodities Market.Regular Sessions on SPSS, Quantitative Techniques and Logical Reasoning, case study analysis, Analysis of Current Business and Economics, Managerial Communication as a part of curriculum for the students’ professional and personal development
  2. Inbuilt provision for in-depth train for those who intend to pursue a career in teaching and other sectors through teaching practice and compulsory corporate internship
  3. Focus on preparing professionals for financial analysis, research orientation, investment and risk management, financial management including derivatives, hedge funds and debt funds
  4. Provision to pursue professional courses in a variety of subjects
  5. Provision of free coaching classes for the professional courses
  6. Paper presentations in state level and national level seminars, corporate internships and teaching practices and dissertations
  7. The course offers more flexibility to the students, allowing them to choose an interdisciplinary course along with major papers, which makes the education path broader.Option to earn extra credit, over and above the minimum through national and international participation, paper publications, etc
  8. Engagement in programmes of social concerns, Women Advisory Cell, art therapy, counseling sessions and various other activities organized by the campus
  9. Separate classes for the personality development and personality grooming classes

Admission Process

The first step for the admission process for Session 2017-18 at City Group of Colleges involves the Registration of the candidate for the interested Program in the Admission Department of the College. The Candidate/Guardians are advised to go through the details of the Programs interested in and its eligibility criteria before registering for the same.

Registration to a particular Program can be done by using any of the following modes

Online at the College website

After filling the form pay a registration fee of Rs. 500/- online through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. On successful payment of registration fee, a receipt will be generated by the system. You are required to scan and email this receipt to info@cgclko.com along with the scanned copies of all the documents required.

Directly at College Admission Offices

The Registration form can be directly collected from the College Admission Office in the campus. This shall be submitted by hand/post along with the registration fee of Rs. 500/- and the attested copy of the required documents for the Program registering for.

Through Post

A copy of the filled up form can be sent through post along with the required documents and a bank demand draft of the registration fee of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of ‘ DR. RAJENDRA PRASAD EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY’ payable at Lucknow.
